Pig Space Marketplace is a mobile app for swine industry listings, market information, producer tools, news, videos, and related resources. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how users can contact us.
Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the app, we may collect:
- Account information, such as email address, user ID, name, business name, and profile information.
- User-submitted content, such as listings, descriptions, Community posts and replies, contact requests, reports, service posts, job posts, photos, and company logos.
- Community moderation information, including automated safety classifications, content reports, warnings, suspensions, and moderation decisions.
- Contact information users choose to provide, such as phone number, address, city, state, or listing location.
- In-app messages or inquiries submitted through marketplace features.
- Device or app identifiers used for app functionality, authentication, notifications, security, and Firebase services.
- Advertising identifiers and app-install or app-open events used to measure Meta advertising performance on supported devices.
- Referral codes, referral attribution, and contest qualification records.
- App usage and interaction data, including screen views, calculator use, listing and business views, contact actions, Community activity, outbound-link clicks, and promotion impressions or clicks.
How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Operate the app and provide marketplace features.
- Create, manage, and secure user accounts.
- Display user-submitted listings, photos, service posts, job posts, and related marketplace content.
- Send requested notifications or market update alerts.
- Send account-verification, Community-reply, and marketplace-message emails according to user settings.
- Administer referral programs and help prevent duplicate or self-referrals.
- Understand feature usage, measure promotions, and improve the app.
- Respond to support requests, contact requests, reports, and account deletion requests.
- Review listings and reports for safety, fraud prevention, security, and compliance.
- Automatically screen and manually review Community content for safety, professionalism, spam prevention, and compliance with Community Rules.
Information Sharing
We do not sell user data. User-submitted marketplace content may be visible to other signed-in users when submitted or approved, such as listings, listing photos, business names, locations, and contact details the user chooses to include. We may use service providers, including Firebase, Google services, Meta App Events, and an email-delivery provider, to operate app hosting, authentication, analytics, advertising measurement, database, storage, notifications, and related app functionality. Text submitted to Pig Space Community is automatically checked by Pig Space Marketplace backend rules to identify potentially harmful, inappropriate, or spam content.
Analytics and External Links
Firebase Analytics begins collecting app interaction data after a user installs a version that includes analytics; historical usage cannot be recovered. Meta App Events may record app installs and app opens so we can measure whether our advertisements lead to app use. On iOS, collection of the Apple advertising identifier is disabled unless a future version first obtains the required permission. Links to Facebook, news, jobs, videos, and other websites open outside the app and are governed by those services.
Data Security
Data transmitted between the app and Firebase/Google services is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. We use Firebase security rules and account-based access controls to help protect stored data.
Account Deletion
Users may request account deletion by emailing admin@pigspacemarketplace.com from the email address used for their account. More information is available at /account-deletion.
Children
Pig Space Marketplace is not intended for children. The app is intended for swine industry users and related business purposes.
